Marriages
Prior to St. James church being built at Crosshill in 1844,
a majority of the Codnor population got married at the Parish churches of
Heanor or Alfreton, with a small percentage going further afield.
The marriage records before 1844 are transcribed from the Derbyshire Parish Registers, a majority of the records after this date are from the Derbyshire IGI batch M048552, years 1844 to 1894.
